Updates: Brand New Year

It's been quite awhile since I've posted here, and this month actually marks 1 year for this blog.  I've been pretty busy lately and am feeling pretty ambitious at the moment for a change, though I'm not sure if I have the diligence to keep up with that ambition.  Just wanted to give a few updates though, and a few rants...

Let's start with school updates since that's what so many always ask me anyway.  "How's school?  How's BC?" Blahblahblah.  Well, in terms of classes and grades, it's terrible.  Who would've thought, being Asian, I could get a D in both Orgo and Multivariable Calc.  Both science AND math killed me.  With that said my GPA dropped a lot of course, but hopefully I'll inch my way back up during the next 5 semesters.  Also, as some of you may know I'm a Chem major, but now I'm thinking about switching over to becoming a biochem major.  It's such a difficult decision... I don't know if I should take these extra bio classes that I have interest in and risk further lowering my GPA, or just stick with less classes by taking only chem requirements and focus on that.  On top of that, multivariable calc is not a requirement for biochem majors, which makes my D hurt even more knowing that it contributes to nothing at alll (multivariable is a requirement for chem majors).  Aside from that though, everything else is okay I suppose.  I really should follow the example of pretty much everyone else around me in school and study way harder... But that's all I have in terms of classes; basically, classes and grades are not where I want them.

Winter break is coming to a close.  It had a slow start in the beginning, but now I've been going out a lot more and catching up with lots of high school friends which is really nice.  Hearing all their college stories and hearing that they've just been as unproductive as me this break has really been fun and refreshing.  There's been so much snow this break though, it's kinda ridiculous.  There were also some things that I really wanted to get a head on learning this break, but unfortunately never got the chance to.  I still want/need to learn these things eventually though:

-Organic reactions and mechanisms
-Improve on Chinese speaking/writing
-Working with a jailbroken iPod
-Photoshop/Sony Vegas/Adobe After Effects
-Get my drivers license
-Working out

And then there's the issue of parents at home and their nagging/other issues.  I've already ranted about this once to a friend already so I don't really feel like typing it all out again, but I guess it's bearable.  Sometimes my dad really frustrates me though, but it's alright, I love both my parents all the same.  I've just come to accept that there will be times that I will come to abhor them.

I've been playing way too much Mabinogi too.  I'll leave it at that.

Now I'll move onto UPSB updates?  WT11 is around the corner, and the podcast for it is this Saturday which I will be co-hosting with strat and Frip -- to be honest, I'm kind of nervous.  Afraid of saying the wrong thing and being judged, and on top of that, I have a bit of a lisp too which is just annoying and which I'm becoming more self conscious of nowadays.  Bleh.  I also want to make a video similar to Sankaku's Growth video, but geez, I've been way too lazy to do it.  I wanted to throw in a few decent clips, but I just can't spin anymore.... it's going to take a lot of effort to pull that off.  Well, we'll see how that goes as well as everything else UPSB related.  Gonna be dead on UPSB once school starts up again.

That's all for the updates on my life for now!  The next time I post probably won't be for awhile (maybe I'll just toss up my nostalgic, kaku-inspired video up here in a week or less, but that's it) -- next time will probably be during spring or summer break.  Until next timee, thank you for reading!
